摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery, capable of achieving higher capacity, greater output, and longer life in a lithium secondary battery, and to provide a lithium secondary battery using the positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery includes an active material and a conductive material. In the positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery, the active material includes a lithium transition metal-based compound with a function by which a lithium ion can be inserted and removed, the lithium transition metal-based compound has a peak at 800 cm<SP POS="POST">-1</SP>or more and 1,000 cm<SP POS="POST">-1</SP>or less in a spectrum of surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy, and the conductive material includes carbon black that has a nitrogen absorption specific surface area (N<SB POS="POST">2</SB>SA) of 70 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g or more and 300 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g or less and an average particle diameter of 10 nm or more and 35 nm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
