<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-stroke gas engine that is low in cost and high in reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The two-stroke gas engine which uses a liquefied natural gas as main fuel includes: a cylinder 1 in which a piston 6 reciprocates; an air supply vessel 3 which supplies air to an air introduction port 1a formed at the cylinder 1; a combustion chamber 10 at the upper part of the cylinder; a gas injection valve 11 which is attached to the cylinder 1 above the air introduction port 1a, and injects the liquefied natural gas; and a pilot injection valve 12 which injects liquid fuel which is ignited to the mixed air of the liquefied natural gas and air in the combustion chamber 10. In a scavenging step in which air supplied from the air supply vessel 3 is compressed by the piston 6, the liquefied natural gas is injected from the gas injection valve 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
