<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of more appropriately controlling the travel of a vehicle while acquiring traveling information for a preceding vehicle through inter-vehicle communication. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a vehicle control device for controlling the travel of a vehicle by acquiring inter-vehicle communication information for a preceding vehicle 100 traveling ahead of a vehicle 1 on which the device is mounted, and controlling the traveling state of the vehicle 1 based on the inter-vehicle communication information for the preceding vehicle 100. Control of inter-vehicle communication is varied according to parameters at the time of vehicle control. The device can thereby reduce the frequency of changing the mode of traveling control of the vehicle 1 according to a state of inter-vehicle communication control, thereby being capable of more appropriately controlling the travel of the vehicle 1 which is performed by acquiring traveling information for the preceding vehicle 100 through inter-vehicle communication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
