<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route search device, a route search method and a computer program which can reduce communication processing, communication time, communication costs and the like concerning communication with a center. <P>SOLUTION: A route search device is configured: to acquire basic congestion information from a VICS center 5 (S2); to perform first route search processing for searching a route to a destination based on the acquired basic congestion information (S3); to determine whether it is necessary to acquire center traffic information from a probe center 4 based on a first travel route specified by the first route search processing (S4 to S6); to use the first travel route as a guide route when determining that it is not necessary (S9); otherwise to acquire additional congestion information as the center congestion information from the probe center 4 when determining it is necessary (S7); to perform second route search processing for searching again a route based on the acquired additional congestion information (S8); and to use a second travel route specified by the second route search processing as the guide route (S9). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
