<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable of reducing power consumption while maintaining the high transmittance of a dielectric layer. <P>SOLUTION: The plasma display panel of the present invention includes a front plate 2 and a back plate, and the front plate 2 and the back plate are arranged opposite to each other and are sealed around. The front plate 2 has display electrodes 6 and a dielectric layer 8 covering the display electrodes 6. The dielectric layer 8 includes silica particles 20 and a glass layer 21.
