<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of detecting the presence or absence of an intermediate transfer belt without increasing production cost. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device 10 comprises; an endless intermediate transfer belt 68 which is wound around a plurality of rollers 61, 63, 65, 67 and 69 and in which a developer image is transferred from an image holding body 62 to an outer peripheral surface; detection means 90 which has a light emission part 92 and a light receiving part 94, is disposed so as to face the outer peripheral surface of the intermediate transfer belt 68, detects the quantity of reflected light irradiated from the light emission part 92 and received at the receiving part 94 and outputs the quantity of the reflected light to a control part 20 for controlling the developer image on the outer peripheral surface of the intermediate transfer belt 68; and judgment means 20 for judging the presence or absence of the intermediate transfer belt 68 based on the quantity of the reflected light output from the detection means 90. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
