A joint terminal (71) is configured from a terminal main-body (72), a central connection section (74) which is in the central section of the terminal main-body (72), and a pair of clamping contact sections (73) which are provided on both sides of the central connection section (74), and which clamp and connect terminal portions of two flexible cables (81a, 81b); protrusions (77) are formed on both side sections of one of the clamp contact sections (73a), in the width-ways direction of the clamping direction of said clamp contact section, said protrusions locking with the inner walls of a joint terminal insertion section (63) in a joint connector (1) wherein the joint terminal (71) is housed; and the width-ways dimension (B), in the clamping direction, of the other clamp contact section (73b) is set so as to be greater than the width-ways dimension (A) of the first clamp contact section (73a).
