A memory device e.g. flash memory, stores installation settings of a building installation. An authentication unit authenticates access to data stored in the memory device installation settings of the building installation. The memory device has storage capacity for storing the installation settings to the bus. A unique Internet protocol address is controlled via the installation bus.
