摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an electric braking device to perform automatic control and regenerative cooperation control of brake fluid pressure irrespective of a driver's operation input, while having a pedal simulating function at normal operation, to simplify the structure thereof, and to enable fluid pressure of four wheels to be backed up at a failure time. <P>SOLUTION: A first piston 6 of a large diameter, which can be displaced after free running of a brake pedal 1 to which a reaction force is granted according to stroke, and a second piston of a small diameter, which is urged by a spring toward the first piston, are provided in a master cylinder 5. A slave cylinder 15 is driven by an electric motor 17 according to a displacement detection value of the brake pedal to generate brake fluid pressure. The brake fluid pressure is supplied to each wheel cylinder via a first fluid chamber 13 between both pistons and by increasing the fluid pressure of a second fluid chamber by the second piston. The brake fluid pressure can be supplied to front and rear wheels according to the difference in the diameters of the pistons by displacing both pistons mechanically by the brake pedal on a system failure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
