<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately detect abnormality in shut-down operation of a switching element, in a boost-less power unit. <P>SOLUTION: During a regenerating operation of a rotating machine M, a power supply line LINE is temporarily brought into a cut-off state by a shut-down operation of a switching element Q. On the basis of whether or not a voltage VH at a side of an inverter 14 is increased to a voltage VB of an accumulation device 12 or higher while the power supply line LINE is brought into the cut-off state, it is determined whether a connecting/disconnecting operation of the power supply line LINE by the switching element Q is normal or abnormal. Therefore, although abnormality in shut-down operation of the switching element Q during normal operation can not be detected in a power unit 10, an abnormal state which may disable the shut-down operation such as a circuit failure of a driver circuit 16 or an ON failure of the switching element Q can be detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
