<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition that exhibits excellent pressure-sensitive adhesive properties after crosslinking treatment, does not cause lifting or separation upon heat treatment or treatment under high-humidity conditions particularly even in the case of a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer having a reduced layer thickness, and has excellent durability, to also provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed using the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, and a method for producing the same, and to further provide an optical member with pressure-sensitive adhesive comprising the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and an image display using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of a (meth)acrylic polymer, provided that it is not copolymerized with an olefinic polymer, 0.02-2 pts.wt. of a peroxide, and 0.02-2 pts.wt. of an isocyanate-based crosslinking agent, the (meth)acrylic polymer comprising as monomer units 50-98 wt.% of a (meth)acrylic monomer represented by the general formula: CH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>=C(R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>)COOR<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, wherein R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>represents H or methyl and R<SB POS="POST">2</SB>represents 2C-14C alkyl, and 0.1-35 wt.% of a nitrogen-containing monomer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
