<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable injector which permits simply inserting a storage medium into a portable injector to immediately cause injection to be started. <P>SOLUTION: The portable injector 1 permitting an injection pump 2 injecting a liquid medicine to be mounted, and permitting a storage medium 3 to be inserted, has a mounting section 11 on which the injection pump 2 is mounted, a slot 31 into which the storage medium 3 is inserted, a driving section 17 to be connected to the injection pump 2, a reading section 102 reading the injection protocol of a chemical from the storage medium 3, and a control section 100 controlling the driving section 17 and the reading section 102.
