The present invention discloses a method and system for interactively selecting an auxiliary cell. The method includes: a terminal selects a master cell and performs data interaction with the master cell to obtain a neighbor cell list; the terminal measures the coordinated multiple point status information of the cell in the neighbor cell list, and according to the measurement result evaluates and generates a candidate list of the coordinated multiple point auxiliary cell; when the terminal initiates the coordinated multiple point operation service, the terminal transmits the candidate list to the master cell; the master cell performs an activation strategy for the cell in the candidate list and obtains the auxiliary cell of the terminal coordinated multiple point operation, and transmits the activation list of the auxiliary cell to the terminal; and the terminal maintains the activation list until the coordinated multiple point operation service ends. According to the method and system, the present invention can select a preferable neighbor cell as an auxiliary cell through the interaction and improves the service quality and user experience of the coordinated multiple point operation.
