The plate has holding elements (3) arranged on and/or in side of lower laps (5). Reinforcing units are arranged in a lower side of the plate and provided for defining orientation and/or mounting surface. The reinforcing units include a section that extends from an end over a partial length of the plate. The reinforcing units run in the lower side of the plate under formation of a free chamber at a distance to the mounting surface. Recesses (4) are arranged in a region of the lower laps, and holding unit is arranged in front surface and upper side (6) of the plate. An independent claim is also included for a roofing system comprising a supporting unit.
