<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst generating slower decomposition in comparison with isocyanate denaturation (oligomerization or polymerization) reaction in an isocyanate medium, and to provide an isocyanate denaturation method using the catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: A phosphonium salt represented by formula I is used. (In the formula, R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>-R<SB POS="POST">4</SB>are each independently the same or different, and 1-20C alkyl, 3-20C cycloalkyl, 7-20C aralkyl and 6-20C aryl which are branched and/or substituted as the need arises, on condition that at least one of the groups R<SB POS="POST">1</SB>-R<SB POS="POST">4</SB>represents 3-20C cycloalkyl group which is branched and/or substituted as the need arises, and a carbon atom of the cycloalkyl ring is directly bonded to a phosphorus atom). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
