<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the conventional image processing apparatus in which: compensating, by an amplifier circuit, decrease in an image signal level due to light source deterioration lowers an SN ratio and the accuracy of a paper fingerprint generated from an image signal is lowered, when an image processing apparatus reads an original and generates the image signal. <P>SOLUTION: In a function such as image copy, an original image signal output from a CCD image sensor 104 is amplified by an amplification unit 120 at an amplification factor set on the basis of image signal reference intensity. An image signal used in a paper fingerprint processing unit 60 is not amplified by the amplification unit 120 and is generated on the basis of the original image signal output from the CCD image sensor 104. At that time, a control unit 64 controls a motor driving circuit 110 to lower the speed of reading an original in a sub-scanning direction and increases an exposure value at the CCD image sensor 104 by an amount corresponding to the amplification factor to heighten the intensity of the original image signal to the reference intensity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
