<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to, under a network environment where a plurality of access points are installed, select an access point corresponding to a place where a portable type information processing terminal is used. <P>SOLUTION: A portable type information processing terminal 1 according to the present invention comprises control means for carrying out first processing and second processing. The first processing includes association processing, in which device-side identification information is obtained from an information processing device 2 using at least first communication means 19 and is stored in storage means 14, and roaming processing in which after connection with an access point 110, to which the portable type information processing terminal 1 is being connected, is reset, an optimum access point 110 is searched for based on a radio field intensity and connection with the access point 110 is established.
