<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply change a resonance frequency in a distribution space of a refrigerant. <P>SOLUTION: A compressor includes: an electric motor (20) which has a drive shaft (25) and vertically partitions an inner space of a casing (11); and a compression mechanism (40) which is coupled to the drive shaft (25) and which compresses a refrigerant to be discharged to a second upper space (16) between itself and the electric motor (20). Core cuts (23) through which the refrigerant discharged to the second upper space (16) is circulated to a lower space of the electric motor (20) are formed on the electric motor (20).
