<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of evaluation of water drainage performance by achieving a running test on a thin water film in thickness of about 1.0 mm. <P>SOLUTION: A method for evaluating water drainage performance of a tire includes: a coating step K1 for applying a hydrophilic coating agent composed of water soluble silicon as a main component to the upper surface 3S of a glass plate 3 to coat a hydrophilic coating film 5; a water film formation step K2 for forming an opaque water film 6 by scattering emulsified water onto the glass plate 3; and a photographing step K3 for running a tire T and photographing the grounding shape P of the tire T from below the glass plate 3 by a video camera 4. In the coating step K1, the hydrophilic coating agent is overlappedly applied onto the glass plate 3 three times or more in parallel with the running direction of the tire. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
