The present invention relates to a refrigerator (10) which comprises a basic structure (11), a refrigerator interior (13), defined within the basic structure (10), a door (12), which closes the refrigerator interior (13) and a sealing channel (25), a seal (20), with at least one opening (251) on a portion of the refrigerator (10) which is directed towards the exterior surroundings (30), and at least one opening (262), on a portion of the refrigerator (10) which is directed towards the interior surroundings (13). In order to improve the subject matter of the invention, the seal comprises a lip (261) which, when the door (12) has been closed, interrupts the air stream between the refrigerator interior (13) and the exterior surroundings (30) through the sealing channel (25) and through the openings (251, 262) and which, as the door (12) is being opened, runs within the sealing channel (25), in order thus to enable the air stream when the shape of the seal (20) changes.
