<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymeric compound giving increased photoelectric conversion efficiency of an organic photoelectric conversion element in the case of using in the organic photoelectric conversion element. <P>SOLUTION: The polymeric compound has a structural unit represented by formula (I) and a structural unit represented by formula (II). In formula (I), Ar<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and Ar<SP POS="POST">2</SP>are the same or different trivalent heterocyclic group; Z is a divalent group; and Y is a divalent heterocyclic group.
