<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing material showing excellent workability in the case of arranging a plurality of packed articles for storage, transportation and the like. <P>SOLUTION: Each cushioning packing material 11 contains a cover part 19 covered with a plate-like packing material 13, and the outside end 41 located outward of the cover part 19 in one direction. The outside end 41 has a protrusion 46 protruding to the outside of the cover part 19 in an orthogonal direction at each side located at both the sides in the orthogonal direction orthogonal to the one direction. Each protrusion 46 has an inclination surface whose protrusive height from the cover part 19 increases to the cover part 19 side in the one direction.
