METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING POLYBASIC ACID VINYL MONOMER COPOLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polybasic acid vinyl monomer copolymer, in which polybasic acid vinyl monomer copolymers within a desired molecular weight range can be selectively recovered by subcritical water decomposition from a thermosetting resin that contains a polyester and a crosslinked part.

SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the polybasic acid vinyl monomer copolymer includes: a process for setting the molecular weight or molecular weight distribution of the polybasic acid vinyl monomer copolymer obtained by the subcritical water decomposition of the thermosetting resin; a process for selecting raw materials of the thermosetting resin corresponding to the polybasic acid vinyl monomer copolymer of the desired molecular weight or molecular weight distribution; and a process for decomposing the selected raw materials of the thermosetting resin in subcritical water to obtain the polybasic acid vinyl monomer copolymer of the desired the molecular weight or molecular weight distribution.
