<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metal oxide particle the aggregation of which is suppressed, and which can provide a resin excellent also in flexibility in addition to heat resistance and light transmittance when the particle is dispersed in a resin; and to provide a silicone resin composition obtained by reacting the metal oxide particle obtained by the production method, a photosemiconductor element sealing material containing the silicone resin composition, and a photosemiconductor device sealed with the resin composition or the photosemiconductor element sealing material. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing a surface-treated metal oxide particle includes a surface treatment step of treating a metal oxide particle with a surface modifier containing a silicon compound having a 4-20C alkenyl group and a silicon compound having a 10-20C alkyl group, and a refining step of cleaning the treated material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
