<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image rewriting device that rewrites an image of a display medium for holding charged particles, and obtains an excellent image quality without generating abnormal discharge between the display medium and the device before rewriting the image. <P>SOLUTION: The image rewriting device rewrites an image of an electronic paper with a nip section between a polyimide belt 300 and a counter electrode roller 400. In the image rewriting device, a neutralization head 201 for changing surface potential of the electronic paper 1000 is arranged at upstream in conveyance direction of the electronic paper 1000, and a neutralization head 200 for changing surface potential of the polyimide belt 300 is arranged at upstream in moving direction of the polyimide belt 300. An absolute value of the difference of the surface potential of the electronic paper 1000 and the surface potential of the polyimide belt 300 is made smaller than absolute values of their discharge starting voltages just before the nip section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
