<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system for suitably improving acoustic echo cancellation. <P>SOLUTION: The system for limiting an audio signal received in the communication system is provided. The received audio signal is limited before it is reproduced via a loud speaker (104) for ensuring that loud speaker output is not clipped when the audio signal is picked up by a microphone (106) near the communication system (100). Precise echo cancellation in the communication system (100) is facilitated by leaving a transfer function of a microphone system incorporated in the loud speaker as linear by avoiding clipping of the loud speaker output in the microphone. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
