<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an optical fiber bundle capable of easily detaching a coating part of the optical fiber bundle from a jig for aligning optical fibers. <P>SOLUTION: In manufacturing optical fiber bundles, first, a jig 4 for aligning optical fibers having a recessed substrate 5 and a lid 6 is prepared. A plurality of optical fibers 2 are housed in a fiber housing recessed part 7 of the recessed substrate 5 and, in this state, the lid 6 is placed on the top face of the recessed substrate 5 to align each of the optical fibers 2. Then, a UV curable resin is injected into a fiber housing space 8 to fill the space and, by irradiating the UV curable resin with UV light to cure the UV curable resin, a resin coating part 3 is formed. Then, a bar-like member is inserted into a detaching groove 9 formed on the recessed substrate 5 and, in this state, the resin coating part 3 is detached from the lid 6 by applying a pressing force to the lid 6 with the bar-like member to push up the lid 6.
