<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a plasma display panel that implements an efficient heating method. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a plasma display panel includes: a sealing step of crossing a display electrode pair 24 formed on a front plate 20 and a data electrode 32 formed on a back plate 30, arranging the front plate 20 and back plate 30 opposite to each other so as to form a discharge space between the front plate 20 and back plate 30, and sealing outer peripheral parts of the front plate 20 and back plate 30 with a sealing material; and an exhaust step of exhausting the discharge space. At least one of a material constituting the front plate 20 and a material constituting the back plate 30 generates heat by itself by microwave irradiation, and the microwave irradiation is carried out in one of the sealing step and exhaust step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
