<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for culturing algae by automatically controlling regulation of the pH value of a culture solution, carbon dioxide supply and nutrient solution concentration in an algae culture tank. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus and the method for culturing algae for maintaining the pH value and the nutrient solution concentration in a predetermined range are provided by using a gas-liquid mixture container by a shearing method for producing a carbon dioxide-dissolved solution in the apparatus for culturing algae, installing a gas gathering container in the algae culture tank, the gas feed port of a carbon dioxide gas feed pipe with an opening/closing valve and the gas suction port of the gas-liquid mixture container on the upper part of the gas gathering container, the discharge port of the gas-liquid mixture container at a place where undissolved carbon dioxide is collected on the upper part thereof when it is discharged, circulating the culture solution to the gas-liquid mixture container by a circulation pump to efficiently dissolve carbon dioxide, feeding the nutrient solution in a nutrient solution feed tank by a liquid feed pump, and controlling the opening/closing valve, the circulation pump and the liquid feed pump for controlling thereof by a sequencer connected to a pH sensor and an electroconductivity sensor installed in the culture solution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
