Disclosed are a method and a system for a high-priority service. In both the method and the system, when a proxy call session control function (P-CSCF) unit is incapable of determining whether or not to provide a user with the high-priority service, a judgement of whether or not to provide the user with the high-priority service is made by a call session control function (CSCF) unit; then on the basis of the judgement made by the CSCF unit, the P-CSCF unit determines whether or not to provide the user with the high-priority service. Alternatively, when the P-CSCF unit is incapable of determining whether or not to provide the user with the high-priority service, a timer is set; then on the basis of information acquired before the timer timed-out, the P-CSCF unit determines whether or not to provide the user with the high-priority service. In the present method and system, unexpected failures of legal requests for high-priority service being denied due to a momentary lacking of the high-priority subscription data of the user can be minimized, efforts are made for smooth processing of legal requests for high-priority service to be maximized, thereby improving user satisfaction. |
