The method involves injection-molding of a thermoplastic sealing element (2) e.g. planar thermoplastic carrier (9), in a cavity of an injection molding tool. The sealing element is moved under another cavity. An edge of the latter cavity is sealed on a surface of the sealing element by material pairing of metal/plastic. A solidifiable material is injected into the latter cavity for forming a component (1). The material in the latter cavity is cured. The component is removed from the molding tool. An independent claim is also included for a component comprising outer surfaces.
