The bicycle (1) has an electromotor (5) driving a rear wheel (3), and an energy storage module (11) provided with a housing (14) and attached at a frame (13) for supplying electrical power. An electrical energy storage i.e. lithium-ion battery, is accommodated in the housing. The housing is formed with a rigid outer shell (15) in a sandwich structure and a shock-absorbing and thermally insulating inner shell. The housing is formed from a universal housing portion and a fixing part that is coordinated with the bicycle. A fan is provided in the housing.
