The locking system has a motor vehicle door lock (5), where a door hinge (6) is arranged opposite to the motor vehicle door lock. A closure element (7) is centrally located between diagonal fold lines (4a,4b,4c) of a door leaf (1a) to receive corresponding deformations. The fold lines are re-guided into a rear suspension induced deformation process during the manufacturing of the motor vehicle side door. An independent claim is also included for a method for compensation of production-related bending deformation of motor vehicle side door.
