<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device which accurately performs regeneration control by accurately grasping the combustion amount of PM (Particulate Matter) trapped by a filter. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device includes: the filter 3 for trapping the PM on an exhaust passage of an engine and combusting it; a first sensor 8 for obtaining the first amount of NOx contained in exhaust gas before passage through the filter 3; and a second sensor 9 for obtaining the second amount of NOx contained in the exhaust gas after passage through the filter 3. The exhaust emission control device also includes a first computing means 7f for computing a decrement of nitrogen dioxide in the exhaust gas after passage through the filter 3, on the basis of the first amount of NOx obtained by the first sensor 8 and the second amount of NOx obtained by the second sensor 9, and a second computing means 7g for computing the combustion amount of PM combusted by means of the filter 3, on the basis of the decrement.
