The catch (2) has a fastening device attaching the catch at a shelf carrier (5) and/or at a rail (3), where the catch is made of plastic material and withstands force of 10 Newton at a mounted state. An effective region (10) is engaged in a fastening slot (4) that remains in the carrier, which is hung in the rail. Height (h) of the effective region corresponds to height (H) of the fastening slot. A fixing element (9) is provided for a shelf base. An elastic bracket is engaged at the rail in a form-fit manner in a mounted state of the rail. An independent claim is also included for a shelf system that comprises hooks.
