METHOD FOR REPORTING CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION AND BASE STATION

A method for reporting Channel State Information (CSI) is provided by the present invention. The method includes that: a base station instructs a User Equipment (UE) to feed back a CSI report of one or multiple Component Carrier(s) (CC(s)) in one time (S1); the UE feeds back the CSI report of one or multiple CC(s) in one time according to the instruction of the base station (S2). A base station configured to instruct a UE to feed back a CSI report of one or multiple CC(s) in one time is also provided by the present invention. The present invention effectively resolves a problem that how the UE report CSI of multiple (downlink) CCs in a Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) system, and not only guarantees the reliability of CSI transmission, but also reduces the feedback delay of CSI as much as possible.
