Thereby, the follow-up travel control is performed according to the acquisition situation of the inter-vehicle communication information. For example, when the inter-vehicle communication information on the preceding vehicle 100 can be appropriately acquired, ideal follow-up travel control is performed using acquired inter-vehicle communication information, and when the acquisition of the inter-vehicle communication information on the preceding vehicle 100 is difficult, the follow-up travel control can be performed by lowering dependence over the inter-vehicle communication information.
