<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve gas/liquid separation nature by enlarging a turning diameter of a refrigerant, and also to reduce manufacturing cost and weight. <P>SOLUTION: The header 4 of an accumulator 1 is opened downward, and has a column-shaped recessed part 15 linking with a refrigerant inflow hole 8 insides, and makes the refrigerant flowing in from the refrigerant inflow hole 8 revolve along a peripheral surface of the column-shaped recessed part 15 to perform gas/liquid separation. The header 4 of an accumulator 1 has: a sidewall 4a the inside of which is made to be the column-shaped recessed part; and four corners 11a to 11d which are formed at the outer periphery of the sidewall 4a where the refrigerant inflow hole 8 is formed at the corner 11a. Also, the refrigerant inflow hole 8 can be formed so that one end is opened to the side surface of the header 4 and the other end is opened to the peripheral surface of the column-shaped recessed part 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
