<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric blower capable of improving air-blowing efficiency, and capable of also holding the high air-blowing efficiency over a long period, by properly preventing air passed through a rotary fan from flowing again in the rotary fan. <P>SOLUTION: This electric blower includes the rotary fan 3 fixed to a rotary shaft 2 of a motor 1 and a fan cover 8 forming an intake port in an opposed position of a suction port formed on a front plate 5 of the rotary fan 3. A support part 10 is arranged in the fan cover 8, and a seal member 11 for securing airtightness between the support part 10 and the front plate 5 and a spring 12 for pressing the seal member 11 to the rotary fan 3 side, are supported by the support part 10.
