<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase strength against flexure deformation of a second housing part in a recording material container with multi-stage structure. <P>SOLUTION: In a second feeding cassette 32 which is a member including a box-shaped portion with an opened upper face, a plurality of sheets of recording paper P are piled on an inside bottom face to be housed. A rotational shaft part 321 is protruded from both side parts on the front side of the second feeding cassette 32 to be fitted in two slide groove parts 312 of a first feeding cassette 31. The box-shaped portion, wherein a plurality of sheets of paper P are piled on the inside bottom face to be housed, is constructed of: a bottom face part 322 which is brought into surface contact with the housed recording paper P; a front sidewall part 323 formed to rise from the bottom face part 322; a left sidewall part 324; a right sidewall part 325; and a rear sidewall part 326.
