<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transfer efficiency in DMA transfer utilizing a DMAC in a data processing device and improve transfer efficiency in the whole system. <P>SOLUTION: A data processing apparatus (100) comprises a transfer control device (4) for controlling data transfer between a storage device (200) and circuit modules (IP1 to IPm). The transfer control device comprises a data buffer part (42) for temporarily storing data related to the data transfer, a plurality of data transfer control channels (44_1 to 44_n), for each of which an individual transfer control condition is set, and a data transfer control part (41). The data transfer control channels control data transfer between the circuit modules and the data buffer part in response to data transfer requests from the circuit modules, and request data transfer between the data buffer part and the storage device.
