A user's wireless communication device communicates cellular signals with a remote party over a wireless communications network and short-range wireless signals with a headset worn by the user. Upon receiving an incoming call, a controller in the user's device determines whether a microphone integrated with the user's device, or a microphone integrated with the headset, is closest to the user's mouth. Based on that determination, the controller routes the incoming audio signals to whichever speaker is associated with the microphone that is closest to the user's mouth. |
