PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner capable of suppressing deterioration of cooling/heating capacity and a rise in power consumption even when outdoor units of air-cooling packaged air conditioners are consecutively installed and capable of minimizing the required installing space of the consecutively installed outdoor units.

SOLUTION: The outdoor unit 11 of the air-cooling packaged air conditioner includes a heat exchanger 13 installed at an upper portion of a box-type casing body 12 formed in a substantially square shape in plan view, and a compressor unit (not shown) installed at a lower portion of the heat exchanger 13. The heat exchanger 13 is composed to be formed in a substantially square shape in plan view and in a tubular shape with upper and lower faces thereof opened. Further, the heat exchanger 13 is installed in the casing body 12 so that each of outer lines of corner parts of the cylindrical heat exchanger 12 is provided along a vertical line at a position corresponding to approximately one third of the length of each side of the substantially square shape of an inner-side wall face of the casing body 12. The casing body 12 includes four faces corresponding to installing faces of the heat exchanger 13 that are configured of meshes 16a.
