<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a transparent film which is composed of a fumaric acid diester polymer and excellent in transparency, surface smoothness, thickness precision and mechanical strength. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a transparent film, a polymer solution composed of a fumaric acid diester polymer and an organic solvent is cast over a plastic support substrate so that the thickness of lug parts at both film width direction ends before drying is larger by 20-150 μm than the average thickness of a portion excepting the lug parts, and then, the solvent is evaporated in a drying process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
