<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain deterioration in printing precision in the start of printing. <P>SOLUTION: A printer includes a holding means, a conveying means, a printing means, and an adhesion releasing means. The holding means holds a roll member around which a liner-less printing medium having an adhesive layer and a printing layer is wound in the form of a roll. The conveying means pulls out the free end of the printing medium from a roll member held by the holding means. The printing means prints information on the printing layer of the printing medium during the process of conveyance by conveying means.
