<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical glass having excellent solarization resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The optical glass is produced from an optical glass containing, by weight, P<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">5</SB>5-60%, TiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>0-25%, B<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>0-20%, SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>0-30%, Nb<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">5</SB>5-60%, Ta<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">5</SB>0-20%, WO<SB POS="POST">3</SB>0-10%, Bi<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>0-10%, ZrO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>0-5%, Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>0-5%, MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO 0-20%, La<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>+Y<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>+Gd<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>0-20%, ZnO 0-20%, Li<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O+Na<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O+K<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O 0-35% (provided that the amount of Li<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O is 0-8% and the amount of Na<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O+K<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O is 0-35%) and 0-8% in total of fluoride (F) obtained by replacing a part or the whole of one or more oxides of the metallic elements. The content of MoO<SB POS="POST">3</SB>in the optical glass is measured, and when the MoO<SB POS="POST">3</SB>content exceeds 30 ppm by weight, the MoO<SB POS="POST">3</SB>content is reduced to ≤30 ppm by weight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
