<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for properly controlling the temperature of a fixing part. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device 1 outputs a printing preparation request to a printer engine 3 when a controller 2 starts the analysis of print data, and the printer engine 3 sets a fixing temperature as a target temperature to start power supply to a heating heater and outputs an Engine Ready notice when a fixing member is heated to the fixing temperature. The controller 2 receives the Engine Ready notice and if the generation of drawing data is completed, sends the drawing data and a printing start notice to the printer engine 3 and then the printing engine 3 performs printing. If the standby time has elapsed while the generation of drawing data is not completed, the controller 2 issues a notice for transition inhibition to an energy saving mode to the printer engine 3 and inhibits the printer engine 3 to transit to the energy saving mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
