<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high speed seaming by securely transmitting rotational driving force to a can lid thereby preventing the occurrence of a defective seaming and working trouble or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A chuck member 33 holding a can lid 1 from the surface side upon seaming includes: an annular projecting part 43 fitting into the counter sink part 5 of the can lid 1; a tapered part 42 continuous with the outer circumferential face of the annular projecting part 43 and opposite to the inner circumferential face of the central circumferential wall part 6 at a position upper than the counter sink part 5 of the can lid 1; and a base metal part 41 continuous with the tapered part 42 and receiving the pressing force of a seaming roll at the inside of the shoulder part 7 of the can lid 1. At the lower edge part of the annular projecting part 43, an internal projection-shaped curved face 48 continuous with the internal circumferential face of the annular projecting part 43 is formed, and the dimensions of the internal projection-shaped curved face 48 are set so that the internal projection-shaped curved face 48 is bitten into the inside wall part 11 of the counter sink part 5 and at least into a part of the internal curved part 12 continuous with the lower edge of the inside wall part 11 when the annular projecting part 43 is fitted into the counter sink part 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
