The present invention discloses a method and a system for acknowledgment/negative acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) message feedback on Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH), the method including the following step: according to the feedback manner or feedback rule in the multiplexing mode configured by a base station, a terminal adopts the channel selection-based manner or Discrete Fourier Transform spread Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM)-based manner to transmit ACK/NACK messages in the multiplexing mode. The present invention provides a scheme for ACK/NACK message feedback on PUCCH in the carrier aggregation scenario, in which the base station can configure for and directly indicate the terminal the feedback manner in the multiplexing mode through the high layer signalling and can also configure the feedback rule in the multiplexing mode for the terminal, and the terminal determines the feedback manner in the multiplexing mode according to the feedback manner or the feedback rule configured by the base station.
