<p>The objectives of the present invention are, in a sliding type constant velocity universal joint having contained therein a coiled spring for pressing an intermediate shaft, to prevent a spring receiving member from interfering with a complexly shaped portion of a roller assembly even if the constant velocity universal joint has a large operation angle and to reduce the weight of parts. A sliding type constant velocity universal joint having contained therein a coiled spring (14) for pressing an intermediate shaft (13) is configured in such a manner that the rising height h3 of the cylindrical section (34) of a spring receiving member (15) for supporting one end of the coiled spring (14) is set to a value which allows the edge (37) of the cylindrical section (34) to be in contact with the lower end of the outer ring (26) of a roller assembly (28) of the inner joint member (12) when the operation angle of the constant velocity universal joint is maximum.</p> |
